Red Eye Tree Frogs
Iconic frog associated with advertising so many products. A must have in every pet shop. Easy to view in terrariums. Larger ones are usually females. It’s common and delightful to see a small male on top of a large female. Many tree frogs are great to have for variety. It is best to house only one species of frog per terrarium.
Scorpions
There are large black species and then there are little green, yellow, brown species. Some have fat tails and big claws and some have hardly a tail. Varieties of Pandinus, Damon , Centruroides, Androctonus, Orthochirus, Buthacus, Leiurus, Scorpio and more.
Green Tree Pythons AKA Chondro Pythons
Nature is very impressive and this snake is a prime example. The color as babies can be yellow or red to protect and camouflage it from predators, slowly changing to the green color as per it’s name. The tail of the babies can be brown or black and shivered to resemble a worm to attract it’s meal, birds. It is a snake to display, not handled. Colorization and patterns are dependent on the breed’s local; Biak, Sorong, Jayapuras and more.
Florida Softshell Turtles
Farm produced in sunny South Florida, Florida Softshell Turtle babies are delightful aquatic turtles. For best results house in shallow aged water, no deeper than the length of their shell. It is fun to watch their necks periscope out of the water to take a breath. Join them with other aquatic turtles; Red Ear Sliders, Yellow Belly Sliders, Map Turtles, Snapping Turtles, Musk Turtles, Sideneck Turtles, Snakeneck . There are also variations in Softshell Turtles, and Albino morphs of Sliders and Sideneck Turtles.
Leopard Geckos
Originally imported from the wild regions of Pakistan, this gecko was the first gecko mass produced for the hobbyist and pet trade. Simply because it is an easy gecko to handle and take care of. Color morphs include: Albino, Leucistic, Mack Snow, Blizzard, Tangerine, Raptor.
Redtail Boas
A common term in the hobby, which most include Boa constrictor constrictor and Boa constrictor imperator. True Redtail Boas are Boa constrictor constrictor, usually from South America. They differ from the Central American Boas that are born with red tails but lose the deeper color with maturity. Either way, both snakes are beautiful and have been bred in captivity for attractive color and pattern morphs.
